AACTE Award Winner
Pathway Options

A BTP Pathway is your academic map towards obtaining your teaching license in Oregon. There are two different pathways that have been established to meet your educational background. These pathways are determined by how much college or university education you have completed thus far.

How to Apply

Selection for admission to the BTP Program is a competetive process. Qualified candidates will be selected based on district recommendations and an application evaluation. Yearly cohorts will not exceed 30 and will begin each Fall.

Financial Aid

BTP Students may be awarded tuition money towards completion of initial teacher licensure and ESL/Bilingual Endorsement. These funds are available through Federal/State grants and a Title III Grant from the Office of English Language Acquisition and, if awarded to the departement, be awarded to a student once he or she is admitted to the BTP Program. This award can be used toward tuition costs only and cannot be used for student fees, books, application fees, professional exam fees or any other fee.

Estimated tuition costs vary depending on undergraduate/graduate status.

Students are encouraged to seek additional financial aid assistance through PSU's Financial Aid Office and the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
