M.A. (Education: Curriculum & Instruction - C&I) M.S. (Education: Curriculum & Instruction - C&I) M.Ed. (Master of Education)
  • Minimum of 45 graduate credits
  • All credits must be 500 level except for a maximum of 6 credits of 810 with approval of department chair
  • 21 core credits
  • 6-9 research credits
  • 21-24 credits of electives (may include ESL/Bilingual Endorsement courses taken at the 500 level AND not used toward BA/BS or other degree)
  • Culminating Activity (Thesis, Comprehensive Exam, Independent Project)
  • Requires competency in a foreign language. The Department of Foreign Language and Literature administers the required foreign language exam
  • Minimum of 45 graduate credits
  • All credits must be 500 level except for a maximum of 6 credits of 810 with approval of department chair
  • 21 core credits
  • 6-9 research credits
  • 21-24 credits of electives (may include ESL/ Bilingual Endorsement courses taken at the 500 level AND not used toward BA/BS or other degree)

  • No foreign language proficiency requirement
  • Minimum of 45 graduate credits
  • All credits must be 500 level except for a maximum of 6 credits of 810 with approval of department chair
  • Teacher as Researcher (4 credits)
  • All BTP graduate level core coursework can be included in the 45 credits (except student teaching credits and those applied to another degree)
  • Includes ESL/Bilingual Endorsement credits (19 credits if not used towards another degree)
  • You must complete a PSU Graduate Application admission form and pay the $50 fee
  • Complete GSE Departmental Application
  • Complete GO-10 pdf file for consideration of graduate credits taken as an undergraduate and NOT used in BA/BS or other degree (maximum 12 credits of 500 level courses with letter grades of B- or higher taken within last 45 credits before awarding of undergraduate degree)
  • Attend a Master’s Advising Session (see GTEP secretary for schedule)
