Jordan Fundamentals Grant Program funds creative teaching projects in public secondary schools that serve economically disadvantaged students. 400 grants will be awarded in the amount of $2,500. Deadline is June 15.

American Honda Foundation makes grants in the field of youth and scientific education. Grants range from $10,000 to $100,000. Proposals are due May 1, August 1, November 1 and February 1.

Robert H. Michel Civic Education Grants focus on the role of Congress and teachers working with student’s grades 4-12. No deadline, grants are awarded in May and October. Amounts range from $100-$6000.

The Public Education Network is accepting 250-word essays from students on the topic of why their teacher is their favorite. The winning student and teacher will receive a laptop computer. Honorable mention winners will receive $100 savings bonds. Deadline is May 31.
