Alternative Assessment Calendar 2006-07

Alternative Assessment Portfolios must be received by TSPC no later than the posted date above. If portfolios are received after that date, they will be held over for the following meeting.

It is your responsibility to make sure your portfolio is complete.  The Commission will not review a portfolio missing any of the pieces prescribed in the directions dated January 2004.

Portfolio Order

The following is the order that the tabbed sections for the Alternative Assessment Portfolio must be in:

1. Forms A, B & affidavit
2. Professional Goals
3. Test Scores (PRAXIS, CBEST, ORELA) – documentation that you have taken the CBEST at least one time, Learning Plus courses highlighted on your transcripts, proof that you have taken the PRAXIS or ORELA at least two times (for non-native English speakers, you have include a photocopy of your admission ticket for the PRAXIS)
4. Letters of Recommendation
5. Teaching and/or Practicum Evaluations
6. Transcripts (PROOF OF PROGRAM COMPLETION and Learning Plus, if taken)
7. Resume
8. Work Sample
   1. Learning Content
   2. Unit Goals and Rationale
   3. Instructional Plans
   4. Data of Pupil Learning
   5. Interpretation of Learning Gains Data
   6. Use of Data
   7. Personal Reflection of Teaching Unit
   8. Appendix (Optional)

PLEASE NOTE: Each page needs to be in its own plastic sleeve if you are using them. For example, do not include several letters of recommendation in one plastic sleeve. Everything needs to be in a three-pronged binder with the tabs clearly marked in the order above.
